History of French Elite Carabiniers Regiments during Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars (1792-1814). The book was written in Luneville at the beginning of the Restoration (1814-1830) by a former Quartermaster of the 1st Carbineers Regiment, based on accounts he himself collected from veterans of the regiment who lived in Luneville after his retirement. Many of the officers were also involved in the writing of the book.
